20 million visitors a year

We were established in 1999. From the outset, our goal was to make the financial world more transparent and fair. In 20 years, Independer grew to become the largest online comparison and fixed costs platform in the Netherlands. We cover:

We are constantly expanding our range. In doing so, we give the 20 million annual visitors to Independer.nl more choices and more savings options. Did you know that more than 1 in 5 of all new health and car insurance policies are taken through Independer?

Best Managed Company

Independer has been voted Best Managed Company eight times. The assessment is carried out by Deloitte, and evaluates strategy, operations, innovative strength and financial results of the nominated companies. This award recognises us as one of the best-managed companies in the Dutch middle and large business sector.

Independer wants to be the platform of choice where people can find financial insight at the moments in their lives when they need it.

In 2018, our ambition shifted into high gear when Independer became part of DPG Media. The mission and vision of Independer fitted seamlessly with the philosophy and brands of DPG Media (formerly de Persgroep). Our common ground is the desire to help consumers by providing reliable information and making complex choices manageable.

As a part of DPG Media, Independer can make a greater impact: By reaching a larger audience and by continuing to invest in new services and products in the long term.

The name Independer says it all; the independence of our methods, advice and comparisons is important to us. This is still the case. At DPG Media, everything also relies on independence. This value is deeply embedded in the organization. Of course, with mastheads such as AD, Volkskrant, Trouw and Het Parool, under DPG Media, this could not be otherwise.

The management of DPG Media ensures among other things that all brands, including Independer, remain independent. The Supervisory Board in turn supervises the management of DPG media.
